“I really want to read Rina Kent books but I don’t know where to start.” Well….I got you!! As someone who has read almost every single Rina Kent book since last year I know the perfect order to read them.

You might have seen Rina Kent books on booktok and bookstagram. Well that’s how I discovered them too and my thoughts were exactly the same when I discovered there are soooooo many books and I have to read them in order!! (Well, don’t freak out, it’s not as crazy as it seems. Although my Rina Kent book reading journey was as chaotic as everyone assumes the booklist to be because I just read the books in the order that was fitting to me. (Read my My Reading Order, Favorites + Thoughts). But I made an easier suggestion that you might like 🙂

Just know If I start talking about Rina Kent’s book I’ll never shut up bc I only read Rina Kent books the entire September”22. (Crazyyyy how it’s been a year and I’m finally reading the legacy series!!) And let me tell you these are the most addicting books ever. The writing style, tropes, plot twist and character development are EVERYTHING!! No wonder why they’re so popular haha!!

Who is Rina?/About Rina Kent

Rina Kent is a USA Today, international, and #1 Amazon bestselling author of everything from enemies to lovers, dark romance. She’s known to write unapologetic anti-heroes and villains because she often fell in love with men no one roots for. Her books are sprinkled with a touch of darkness, a pinch of angst, and an unhealthy dose of intensity. She spends her private days in London laughing like an evil mastermind about adding mayhem to her expanding universe. When she’s not writing, Rina travels, hikes, and spoils cats in a pure Cat Lady fashion. (Via Rina Kent’s Goodreads)

Rina mostly writes new adult, dark romance, contemporary, suspense. She has a total of 47 books on Goodreads. Which are the royal elite series, Kingdom Duet, Lies & Truths Duet, Thorns Duet , Throne Duet, Deception Trilogy , Monster Trilogy,  Empire series, The Rhodes Series, Team Zero and Legacy of Gods.

It’s a bit confusing to read and understand them in order because they are written in the same universe and almost all the characters have their own books. And the books are so well written and the side character crumbs are so good you’ll be interested to read their books in the middle of a series (like meee) but Rina has a reading order on her website (slide 3) but I made a guide that I really like so here’s the ultimate guide to Rina Kent books.

*Note: Make sure checkout triggers warnings before diving into Rina verse.*

Rina Kent Books in Order (Suggested + Publication Order)

Rina Kent’s most popular book is deviant king which is the first book of the Royal Elite Series. Which has total 8 books including a trilogy and an epilogue novella. And their legacy series “Legacy of Gods” which is the 2nd generation of the royal elite series, Kingdom Duet, Deception Trilogy ,Thorns Duet &Throne Duet. You don’t have to read these to start the legacy of gods series but in order to understand their world and have the best reading experience it would be best to read the Kingdom Duet, Thorns Duet ,Throne Duet, Deception Trilogy first.

*Note: I am only mentioning the suggested reading orders and my reading guide with how the books are connected but not the blurb or summary of each book. But i’m planning to post my reviews one by one that will contain the summary + my thoughts so, check out my goodreads and keep an eye on my blog :)*

My Reading Order, Favorites + Thoughts

My journey reading rina kent books is really weird and messy bc i didn’t follow the suggested reading order yikes so let’s begin. I’m currently reading god of ruin (Legacy of Gods, #5)  but my first Rina Kent book was Vow of Deception which is part of the Deception Trilogy. I actually saw a promotion tik tok of God of Pain (Legacy of Gods, #2) a few days before the initial release date but I realized it’s a 2nd generation ongoing series so I thought it would be better if I started reading their parents book first and let me tell you I’ve never read something like this and I’m still searching for a similar book.

Then I read the res series because i was in my rina kent book binge era and I was so sad finishing the series and wanted more books of some characters so I browsed all the books by her and I was so shocked finding some characters from this series having their own books or duet in different series??? Like some characters have their own book in empire series and thrones duet (I read the epilogue novella right after the final book of the res series because a few things didn’t make sense? But later all the puzzle pieced together reading the kingdom duet and empire series).

So I dived into the empire series right after royal elite but only read Empire of Hate (Empire, #3) and Empire of Sin (Empire, #2) Then I read the kingdom duet because i was in a reading slump and kinda enjoyed it and went back to the empire series and finished the remaining two but didn’t like it much.

These are all the Rina Kent books I read in 2022 but I really wanted to read Rai and Kyle’s book before the year ended but sadly couldn’t. So I started it back in January but realized it would be better if I read the Lies & Truths Duet first for the timeline and spoilers.

After finishing the duet I was confused whether I should start the throne duet or thrones duet. But I picked the latter despite my curiosity for the first duet. I think it’s totally up to the reader to choose according to their interest. Then I read the Monster Trilogy. I had to wait for a few months till all the books were out and it was totally worth ittt.

Last but not the least, I’m finally reading the legacy series and I’m currently on god of ruin and hoping to read the last two books too when they are out. Checkout my Goodreads for all the reviews <33.

I think all the trilogies are Rina Kent’s best work and I just can’t choose a favorite. I’ve been searching for similar books like the Deception trilogy for a year now!! So I was really excited to finally start the legacy series but sadly it didn’t match my expectations.

The only reasons I’ve enjoyed it were because of my favorite characters’ cameos and Rina’s writing style. I’m posting my detailed reviews of each book on my goodreads and my blog so stay tuned. And I’m also planning to read the rest of her books whenever I’m in a reading slump and definitely whatever Rina decides to write next!!
