You might not know but I used to post booktok updates. Like new book releases, author updates, book adaptations, release dates etc because it’s hard to find all of them in one place. But slowly became irregular and it just got harder to be on track.

So, I have decided instead of doing it daily I would do it weekly and monthly from now on. So, here it is! The first booktok updates post on my blog. I hope to continue it along with weekly ones on my instagram and other socials. Make sure to follow them so you won’t miss any!

Rebecca Yarros Book 4 Announcement!

After months of waiting since onyx storm dropped back in January 2025, Rebecca Yarros book 4 is coming in 2027. The announcement came after readers found out about the untitled book details on amazon and later Rebecca Yaroos posted a reel on Bookstagram in a mysterious way pairing Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do.

Major Beach Read and Book Lovers Updates

Emily Henry might not be releasing a book in 2026 but the amount of stuff she has stored for us is keeping us fed. Because almost all her books are getting screen adaptations. With people we meet on vacation, movie available to stream, we can hope for the rest of the movie releases in the coming years.

But let’s talk about the developments first, after the cast reveal of Beach reads January Andrews as Phoebe Dynevor, we also have our Augustus Everette who will be played by Patrick Schwarzenegger as deadline reports. The chemistry read has been done as shared by and we can hope the filming will begin this summer so we get the movie next summer.

With that being said, book lovers is also in development. There are no booktok updates on it yet but rumor has it Simone Ashley and Manny Jacinto might play the main characters Nora Stephens and Charlie Lastra.

Alex Cooper in Verity

After Reminders of him, another book adaptation by Colleen Hoover will hit theaters this December 2026. Although we don’t have the official trailer yet, some first looks and leaked behind the scenes pictures of the movie. We have an interesting update.

Alex Cooper the popular pop culture host of Call Her Daddy will appear in the movie as herself playing her real life character with a guest on her show, which happens to be verity Crawford played by Anna Hathaway which was shown on The Cinemacon 2026. Yes, there is no scene like this in the book but this change will be interesting to see.

Your Fault London 2 is Coming To Prime Video

The my fault cinematic universe keeps on expanding with new movies set in different countries. With all the Spanish movies available to stream the 2nd movie set in London is also on its way to join this June. The London Nick and Noah are back again with your fault 2 with more complicated storyline seen in the books and Spanish movies.

New Hunger Games Movie Trailer Dropped

From the book announcement to movie, cast and first look, we finally have our hunger games sunrise and the first official trailer which is hitting theaters on November, 2026. If you haven’t read the book yet, now is the perfect time and if you have any questions you can check out my guide about the whole hunger games universe.

Gods of The Game Movies Adaptation and King of Gluttony Release

It’s officially Ana Huang Month. Because King of gluttony by Ana Huang is releasing on April 28, 2026! It’s the 6th book in the King of Sins series. A complete standalone in the interconnected series set in the same Ana Huang Universe where her other popular books, Twisted love to If series exists. It will follow Sebastian Laurent and Maya Singh who are childhood academic rivals to lovers.

The cover has been revealed and the new commissioned arts are making readers lose their mind already! If you haven’t read the rest of the books this is the perfect time, or re read before the new one comes out! We also have another great news, which is a movie adaptation!! Ana Huang’s God of The Games is finally becoming a movies series. There are not much details on it yet but we can hope for more booktok updates with the Twisted love TV Show

The Summer I Turned Pretty Movie Filming Begins

The Summer I turned pretty movie is set to begin filming on April 27, 2026 in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA. The author Jenny Han is directing with the original cast member returning, Lola Tung as Belly Conklin, Cristopher Briney as Conrad Fisher, Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah Fisher, Stephan. But we might see new characters too.

The Summer I turned Pretty movie is expected to wrap filming around Late July or August so we can expect a release date for next summer. As It was announced on September 17, 2025. After the finale of the summer I turned into pretty season 3.

The summer i turned pretty movie will begin right where it left on season 3, solely focusing on Belly and Conrad as they got their endgame. This won’t be based on any 4th book as the 3rd one was the final. But Jenny Han also teased this will be another milestone for belly. So, we can hope for that with more Conrad and Belly.

And, here’s what the drama comes in. Deadline has reported that after the movie was announced the main cast members were denied salary negotiations despite the global success for season 3. The lead trip reportedly earned around 300k each for the feature based on the 3 episode fees but they were not allowed to negotiate further. Some sources say they are disappointed but hopefully they will still pour their heart into the movie for one last time.

Off Campus Season 2 Renewed Before Season 1 Even Aired

Well, everyone who have read or at least have an idea about the book to popular off campus series can easily say this with their eyes closed the show is already a success. Right after it was just announced. And, with focusing Garrett and Hanna on season 1. Fans of the off campus series will come after the producers for the rest of book adaptations, So, before that happens they decide to announce the season 2 before season 2 gets released.

And, this has to be the best booktok updates ever!

The Housemaid Secrets Movie is in Production

The 2nd book in Frieda McFadded the housemaid is officially in production after the massive global hit on the first movie, The Housemaid Secrets. Based on Frieda McFadden’s bestselling psychological thriller the movie earned almost 400 million worldwide on a budget of 35 million. So, of course without any doubt the sequel is happening.

The Housemaid Secret will be adapted from the second book by the same name. It is adapted by Lionsgate with Paul Feig returning to direct, Rebecca Sonenshine returning to write and the previous cast members, Sydney Sweeny returning as Millie Callaway, Michele Morrone as Enzo and an addition Kirsetn Dunst.

More details are yet to come as its heading to production for the 2027 release. All the books are available to read with a 4th one scheduled to release this year and The Housemaid Secret Movie is available to stream on Netflix.

First Look of Harry Potter TV series

HBO has finally dropped the first teaser of our childhood favorite the Harry Potter series trailer on March 25,2026 giving us the official first looks!. And it has already become the most viewed trailer in HBO and HBO max with 227 million views in the first 2 days! Definitely not a drill.

The Harry Potter series premiers on Christmas day 2026. It is based on the classic Harry Potter books by J.K Rowling. And the new cast members are Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

Xo Kitty Season 3 is Finally Out and Lara Jean is Back Too

With the brand new Xo Kitty Season 3, spin off of To All The Boys by Jenny Han it premiered on Netflix with all 8 episodes and it immediately hit number 1 and top 10 globally. This season follows Kitty’s senior year at kiss and her navigating academics, her culture, friendship, and completed love one last time before she leaves for college.

But that’s not it, we also have our beloved Lara Jean Covey as she flew to Seoul, Korea from New York. And, we get to see the sisters together again just like 2018. And, the nostalgia and parallels are crazy!

The Canadian small town summer romance author is having her moment! With a brand new book announcement, Our perfect storm by Carly Fortune, another adaptation of her book This Summer will be different and the first ever book adaptation, Every Year After set to release by Amazon Prime on June 10, 2026!

But before that we have the new book release, Our Perfect storm which will follow Frankie and George, two childhood best friends going on Frankie’s honeymoon after Frankie’s Fiance left her at the altar leaving a note only. Instead of wallowing they go on this trip to get better and maybe to fix their friendship too all while revealing long buried complicated feelings and truths.

Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him Movie

The New York Times bestselling heartbreaking romance by author Colleen Hoover is finally out as a Movie. Published in 2022, “Reminders of” follows a 30 year old woman, Kenna Rowan. Who recently got out of prison. Because she was involved in a serious car accident.

And she decides to return to the hometown where everything fell apart for her in hopes to meet her daughter and start fresh. But the town wasn’t welcoming instead new problems kept rising for her. You can read the book or watch in theaters. There is no official streaming information yet but hopeful on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Bookish Challenge – 26 IN 2026

Last but not the least, a bookish community based ultimate booktok updates for all readers. The reading challenge which is storming in the bookish world. 26 in 2026. Where readers share their tbr of 26 books they want to read in 2026. And, we can hope it will stay at least till the end of 2026.

Also, this is one of the best trends and challenges on booktok and bookstagram. Not too much or not too less, just aiming for 26 books in honor of 2026. This is also a great way to find new books to add into your tbr and connect with more readers.
