So, I just finished binged Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, A brand new horror series by the duffer brothers that has hooked almost every single stranger things fans. I am definitely one of them.

I don’t know how but I just started it in the evening and by the time I was finished with it it was morning and I was sitting with my jaw on the floor trying to piece together everything that just happened.

On their way some creepy and weird things happen that leaves Rachel having this weird feeling that Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.

Eventually they reach their destination but things get more creepier as Rachel meets Nicky’s family members one by one. Did Rachel Die in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen?

Yes Yes but she resurrected. As the wedding was incomplete at first, the curse slowly started to spread in Nick’s family. But after she was tricked into completing it it got her too but it was too late. And affect both her and Nick’s family. With her rebirth this curse was also transferred to Nick’s family.

Is Nicky evil?

No, he is not the villain or has evil motives. But, he is a very complicated character and his emotions to certain things are limited. He genuinely loves Rachel but he is definitely not her soulmate. At the end when everyone died he did not think of her, especially leaving her at the altar and agreeing to marry again when his mother went convinced pretty much sums up his character.

What happened to the witness?

The strange creepy old man who appears throughout the series was the witness of the Harkins family curse. He also happened to be a victim of the curse and had to watch it spread and play out through generations observing and giving warning to the victims beforehand.

This could be for two reasons. One due to the unfulfilled half and half situation of the curse after it was activated. Or, how Rachel tricked it to escape her fate. She wanted to cheat death, she did and through her rebirth she is immortal and has to witness the curse go through like the previous witness.

Why didn’t Julian and Nick Die?

The curse is strongly based on beliefs.Which is the reason Rachel went to the altar with her belief only. But, Nick proved her wrong and broke her belief. But, on the other hand Nick blindly believes he loves Rachel and he is breaking off the wedding for her along with his other complex choices.
