Books

1. You, with a View by Jessica Joyce

You, with a View by Jessica Joyce

Never in a million years I thought I’d love this book so much to say this is on my top 5 favorite booklist. When I started this I didn’t even think I’d like this book so much and I slowly realized this is actually what I needed last year.

2. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

Whenever I feel low and rethink my life choices I read this book or the highlighted parts of this book. The fmc Vanessa Marzurs character is so relatable.

3. Marriage for One by Ella Maise

Marriage for One by Ella Maise

I’ve lost count on how many rereads I have done of this book over the span of the last two years. And it still feels exactly the same exactly like what I’ve felt for the first time.

4. Beach Read by Emily Henry

Beach Read by Emily Henry

If I have to explain why I like this book so much I’d just go blank.

5. Dark Verse Series by RuNyx

And of course I had to choose the whole series for this part. If I have to describe exactly why I liked this book I’d just say it saved me from a very dark time of life. I can’t explain how much I love this book series, the universe and the characters in it.
There are so many books I love. And as a mood reader my Ranking of favorite books keep on changing too. But these are my favorite books for the past 2 years, after I discovered booktok books. And I know it will keep on changing.

TV Shows

1. Stranger Things

Stranger Things

Seasons 1 and 3 will always hold a special place in my heart. As much creepier the town is I feel like it’s my home. The aesthetic is perfect.

2. Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls

Books, coffee, fall, friendship, girlhood and all the things I personally love are in this series. Whenever I’m feeling down or eating dinner by myself I don’t even have to think twice to watch a random episode.

3. Anne with an E

Anne with an E

This series will hold a special place in my heart forever. I started watching it randomly when the lockdown started back in spring 2020. But I wish I started it in the fall. But this series portrays all the seasons so perfectly so it’s well balanced.

4.. The End of the F…ing World

The End of the F…ing World

This is another of the lockdown watches that I’ll remember forever. I love series that are set in gloomy fall small towns with a good plot. So it was really fun to find this masterpiece after binging almost 90% of Netflix. It’s a very underrated series which is why I couldn’t find it at first. And I’m so angry at Netflix for cancelling season 2. Also season 4 of Anne with an E.

5. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

The first book, A good girl’s guide to murder follows a teenager Pippa Fitz-Amobi, who has started investigating a closed case for her school project that involves a girl named Andie Bell who was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh 5 years ago, at least that’s what the town, little Kilton and their people believe. But she has known Sal since she was young and how nice he was with everyone and refused to believe he could kill Andie. So she’s determined to prove his innocence and solve the mystery herself because “The dead can’t defend themselves, but I can.” with the help of Sal’s brother Ravi Singh.

As they begin their investigation they realize how dark and twisted the case is with multiple suspects, while someone from little Kilton is constantly sending threat notes.

Movies

1.Matilda

Matilda

I don’t remember what was the first movie I have ever watched in my life. Because I grew up watching a lot of movies and tv shows with my mother and sister. But this one I will always remember as one of the first I ever loved and rewatched a million times. And throughout growing up sometimes it was different in many ways and eventually I found it so relatable over the years.

2. Little Women

Little Women

My forever favorite warm hug movie. This movie feels like home. I do a rewatch every year in december since it came out but also whenever I am feeling down I will just watch this.

3. Spirited Away

Spirited Away

I am a huge Ghibli fan. I think I should make some ghibli themed content here. But this is the first ever Ghibli movie I watched. I am not going to lie. I found this movie a bit creepy at first but by the end of the movie I fell in love. The setting, aesthetic, plot and most importantly the little things that meant so much were the best things.

4. Rapunzel

My favorite color is Purple. Do I need any other reason to not like this movie? Well, yess I have a million reasons to write why I love tangled. I don’t know why and how I never remember the movie’s name because I keep calling it Rapunzel though it’s actually called Tangled. But anyway, I have watched it at a very young age and there were many things that fascinated me.

5. Avenger Endgame

Avenger Endgame

I am a marvel dork through and through. I never understood the hype before quarantine until I made a marvel marathon and binged all the 30 movies in the span of 4 days. One of the best things to ever happen and also a big reason I started making content. If you haven’t read the about me page, ill share here, I used to make marvel and netflix fandom edits back in 2020 to 2023.

It started as a hobby to pass quarantine times then it became me making a safe corner on the internet to obsess over my favorite fandoms. I love all the marvel movies and shows and still rewatch whenever I am missing them. And I always add avengers endgame because almost all of my favorite characters are in here. Though the ending is painful, I love every single second of this entire movie.

Songs

And here comes the music!!. I am a mood reader and I don’t know if mood listening is even a thing but I’d like to call this that, because my listening and music tastes change from time to time. Like when I am reading, I’ll either listen to the book playlist first, If I am studying I’d like to listen to either calming taylor swift or hozier songs, while working out some pop rock or rap and while I write and make content I’ll just play stuff randomly.

But these are the 5 songs I will choose over and over or listen to in any situations.

  1. Getaway Car
  2. Motion Sickness
  3. Heather
  4. Get him back
  5. Would That I

Albums

I think like my top 5 songs the albums keep on changing depending from time to time. But these are the albums I can say blindly are my forever favorites. I also like to think these albums shaped me as a person I am currently and describes me best.

  1. Reputation
  2. Superache by Conan Gray
  3. Sour by Olivia Rodrigo
  4. Midnight Memories by One Direction
  5. Unheard by Hozier

Hope you liked this fun little bookish challenge as much as I loved making it. Even though I think I could write enough to describe how much these favorites mean to me but hopefully I’ll return and edit it or make an updated post. Till then keep following the freshly brewed posts on the blog <33.
