Books
1. You, with a View by Jessica Joyce
Never in a million years I thought I’d love this book so much to say this is on my top 5 favorite booklist. When I started this I didn’t even think I’d like this book so much and I slowly realized this is actually what I needed last year.
2. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
Whenever I feel low and rethink my life choices I read this book or the highlighted parts of this book. The fmc Vanessa Marzurs character is so relatable.
3. Marriage for One by Ella Maise
I’ve lost count on how many rereads I have done of this book over the span of the last two years. And it still feels exactly the same exactly like what I’ve felt for the first time.
4. Beach Read by Emily Henry
If I have to explain why I like this book so much I’d just go blank.
5. Dark Verse Series by RuNyx
And of course I had to choose the whole series for this part. If I have to describe exactly why I liked this book I’d just say it saved me from a very dark time of life. I can’t explain how much I love this book series, the universe and the characters in it.
There are so many books I love. And as a mood reader my Ranking of favorite books keep on changing too. But these are my favorite books for the past 2 years, after I discovered booktok books. And I know it will keep on changing.
TV Shows
1. Stranger Things
Seasons 1 and 3 will always hold a special place in my heart. As much creepier the town is I feel like it’s my home. The aesthetic is perfect.
2. Gilmore Girls
Books, coffee, fall, friendship, girlhood and all the things I personally love are in this series. Whenever I’m feeling down or eating dinner by myself I don’t even have to think twice to watch a random episode.
3. Anne with an E
This series will hold a special place in my heart forever. I started watching it randomly when the lockdown started back in spring 2020. But I wish I started it in the fall. But this series portrays all the seasons so perfectly so it’s well balanced.
4.. The End of the F…ing World
This is another of the lockdown watches that I’ll remember forever. I love series that are set in gloomy fall small towns with a good plot. So it was really fun to find this masterpiece after binging almost 90% of Netflix. It’s a very underrated series which is why I couldn’t find it at first. And I’m so angry at Netflix for cancelling season 2. Also season 4 of Anne with an E.
5. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
The first book, A good girl’s guide to murder follows a teenager Pippa Fitz-Amobi, who has started investigating a closed case for her school project that involves a girl named Andie Bell who was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh 5 years ago, at least that’s what the town, little Kilton and their people believe. But she has known Sal since she was young and how nice he was with everyone and refused to believe he could kill Andie. So she’s determined to prove his innocence and solve the mystery herself because “The dead can’t defend themselves, but I can.” with the help of Sal’s brother Ravi Singh.
As they begin their investigation they realize how dark and twisted the case is with multiple suspects, while someone from little Kilton is constantly sending threat notes.
