With the stranger things season 5 the series will finally wrap after almost a decade and we will finally get the long awaited answers and all the mystery will unfold. Is will actually alive or been Vecna’s spy all along to Murray’s secret ties, Eleven’s superpower, what actually is the upside down to who will die in this final season of stranger things. Tiktok, Reddit and all the social media are flooded with millions of Stranger Things Season 5 theories.
So, here are some of my favorites Stranger Things Season 5 Theories That Actually Makes Sense Too :
Will Byers was unalived since season 1
I know we are not starting strong but trust me on this. Ever since the 5 minute clip of Stranger Things season 5 was released on YouTube this theory has started to surface. In the clip we see Will is running and trying his best to survive the demogorgans in the upside down. In one of the attempts he also falls on the ground and goes unconscious.
Later, Vecna drags Will to him and asks for help. The scene kinda felt like Vecna tried to possess him or gave him some powers. But the little 8 year old falling on the ground could be the moment of his demise and Vecna used his superpowers on him. For a more strong statement for this we can wonder why he felt sensitive towards the mindflayer, why he is still feeling Vecna, the time in the upside down has stopped since the day he disappeared. His inability to emotionally move on and sometimes feel things, the episodes since he came back.
This also makes his the main key to the gates and possibly the only way to close the gates forever. Even if he’s not alive, I have a feeling he is going to sacrifice himself in this season and the whole concept of it started with will and it will also end with him.
Will has powers and been Vecna’s Spy the whole time
Will’s psychic connections to the upside down has been consistent for the last 4 seasons. Especially now after the release of the 5 min clip of episode 1 of Stranger Things season 5. Will has known Vecna the whole time. Ever since he disappeared into the Upside Down Vecna has been keeping an eye on him and slowly made him his spy through possessing and transferring superpowers to him.
Which could also be the reason he has not shared that he knows Vecna. He could have helped his friends but he never even mentioned it because Vecna is spying on the gang through him. Also, the superpowers. Vecna is controlling him through the superpowers. It could be emotional or energy based powers, precognitive senses or in spiderman language spidey senses or we can call it vecna senses?
Anyways, I fully believe Vecna is going to use Will once more in this final season as we have seen on the trailer.
Karen Wheeler is Alice Creel
As absurd it sounds, the facts are very strong for this. It’s also one of the fandom’s favorite theories.
No one from the creels family is alive because of Henry’s superpowers. But maybe Henry’s sister Alice Creel survived somehow and started a new life and identity in Hawkins. Which could be Karen Wheeler. Who has a mysterious background.
Their look and personality also matches as both of them have blonde hair. Both are very calm, as Karen has a calm personality and Vecna has a creepy and eerie personality could also be a point. And we have seen Karen appearing in the trailer a lot which indicates she will be part of the final season more than the previous ones.
Robin will not survive in Stranger Things season 5
Okay we are going to lose way too many people in this stranger things season 5. The duffer brother has been too kind and gentle and hasn’t touched any of our beloved characters. And honestly? They are very much scared to do it because they know the power the stranger things fandom holds. But not anymore, in this final season they are not going to hold on anymore. And, I think it will be Robin.
We can’t touch Steve. The closest thing to Steve’s death was Eddie. He is gone but duffer brothers might twist the knife one more time with Robin. She has become the fandom’s favorite since season 3 and one of the beloved characters. So among all the other death predictions this stands out the most.
Max will wake up
I have seen many fan theories that Max is dead or she will be gone for good. But she is one the main parts of the show. She will wake up and she will. And I don’t think that will be it. She will also play a good part one last time. Maybe with her in a coma and her upside down situation in season 4 she can help the group while still being in a coma?
Time travel or any sort of help related to the upside down? Guess we have to find out. Also we will find more about her letters. We were better because of the emotional roller coaster it was when she wrote those. I just want her back and reunited with her friends. Especially with Lucas so we can get our Lumax endgame with the end of stranger things season 5 .
Murray Bauman has secret Russian Ties
We know he speaks fluent Russian but that’s not enough to accuse him. As much as he has helped in the last two seasons he has been a bit suspicious too. The timing and his intel seems way to perfect.
So, maybe he was not accidentally involved, rather he has been investigating Hawkins long before the main events that included him. Whether he is currently helping or sabotaging the team we will know a bit more about him in this stranger things season 5. But he definitely knows more than he admits.
Kali (008) Will Return
We met Kali in season 2 of Stranger Things. Who happens to be Eleven’s psychic sister who has similar yet different powers like El. We have seen her in the final seasons trailer so it’s confirmed she will return. And hopefully help slay some of the demogorgans, help the group survive and most importantly help eleven to end Vecna in the final battlefield. Also we might get to see more of kali and eleven together just like season 2, some more backstory, experiments when they were kids in the lab and her more in depth emotional arc with return to the Stranger Things season 5.
Suzie will also be back but with chaos
Another beloved character is returning as seen on the trailer of Stranger Things season 5. We met her in season 3. Who happens to be Dustin’s girlfriend. She has helped the group with her hacking skills and providing the secret codes to the gates of upside down. And now she is back again which means she will also use her skills better to crack codes and give access and help the group. She might also help with revealing more about the Hawkins lab, the gate or the creel house. Better because she has her siblings which double or triples the chances but she will definitely play a very important role this Stranger Things season 5.
The upside down will be explained
The duffer brothers confirmed it. We will finally get to know about it from the beginning to the end in this Stranger Things season 5. Whether it was discovered or actually created. To be more specific, why its frozen from the day El first opened it and will disappear. How Vecna took over it. How it’s connected to the clocks, the frozen time, weird time laws and unchanged Hawkins. We are going to find everything. But as the final season comes out in three parts it’s gonna be a long ride. But the its and bits will slowly start to connect eventually.
Eleven vs Will
This is the most brutal theory. I fully believe Will Byers will at least sacrifice himself saving his friends and family because Vecna will use him one last time. And to make it more complicated and painful in the final battle Vecna will possess will or make will fight Eleven. Also, he was the first victim, he is connected, he is emotionally vulnerable and physically sensitive which are all beneficial for Vecna and Eleven’s weakness.
Therefore, it will be a hard and impossible decision for Eleven to make. So we can definitely see this scene in the stranger thing volume 2 or three at the end. Also it will be a perfect full circle moment as the story began with Eleven and Will and it will also end with them. Just like the main theme of the show, it ends where it begins.
And that’s pretty much some of my favorite Stranger Things season 5 theories. I am the ultimate delulu girl but still I have faith that some of the theories or at least one of them will be true. As I have predicted some in the previous seasons and I am always hopeful so I think it will.
Whether the theory becomes true or not, one thing we can say for sure is that Stranger Things season 5 will be absolutely crazy!. With over a decade it will be the end of an era and for some of us it will also be the official end of their childhood. But let’s just enjoy this era while it lasts. It will be alive forever in our hearts, especially with everything the duffer brothers has in store for us I think it will be hard to forget either way.
So, buckle up for one more final ride to Hawkins with the Stranger Things season 5 because it’s gonna be long!
