September just started but it cannot get any better because we finally got the first look of Emily Henry’s Booktok Viral New York Times best selling novel, People We Meet on Vacation Movie. Netflix and Harper Bazaar have officially shared 5 photos of the film where we can finally see Tom Blyth and Emily Blader as our Alex Nelson and Poppy Wright.

People We Meet on Vacation Book and Movie :
People We Meet on Vacation will be a movie adapted from Emily Henry’s book by the same name. Which follows Best friends Poppy and Alex who have spent a week together in summertime for ten years straight. Both of them have totally different personalities or we can say opposite attracts in booktok language.
But their bond remains completely clear because Poppy is always on the move despite her best friend Alex’s love for staying at home. Their friendship broke in a sudden strange incident which occurred two years ago causing them to separate permanently.
Currently stuck in a despairing state of life Poppy recalls her most memorable moments as the disastrous last trip Alex took with her ten years ago. Summer begins so does the yearning and the need to repair their damaged connection. She extends a final proposal for travel with hopes both of them will reveal their true thoughts and rebuild their bond. To her surprise, Alex agrees.
Poppy must handle their complicated background during the one-week period when she needs to address the hidden truths that have consistently been present between them. During their last journey together they need to reveal why they stopped talking during the past two years while deciding if their bond or deeper feelings can regain strength.
Poppy Wright and Alex Nilsen will be played by Emily Bader and Tom Blythe. Here are some of the confirmed cast members, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil, Lucien Laviscount, Lukas Gage, Alan Ruck, and Molly Shannon.

The first looks has convinced me to re read the book after almost 3years. I am in the worst reading slump this summer but I have been re reading a lot of my favorite summer books. Starting with The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han to The Just For The Summer Series by Abby Jimenez . Now, I am re reading People We Meet on Vacation and slowly getting the scenes from the first looks one by one. I have added some of these already and will be updating the rest, as I finish reading.
1. First Look of Poppy Wright with her packed bags
This could be either when Poppy arrives at the palm spring for the wedding of Alex’s little brother David Nilsen or for one of the trips Alex and Poppy go on together.
2. First Look of Alex Nelsen at a Wedding
This is most definitely from the wedding. Alex has an younger brother David who gets married in the book. So this is probably from the main event.
3. Alex and Poppy on A Plane
This is probably from one of the trips. Or maybe from the ones they were growing more close and could not deny their genuine feelings. This picture is reminding me of sombers “Back to Friends”. I WOULD LITERALLY SCREAM IF THEY ACTUALLY USE THIS SONG!!! (Ps they actually have good reasons to use it in the movie, iykyk). 4. Poppy and Alex at the Rehearsal Dinner or Bachelor Party
First I thought this could be from on of the vacations, where they dress up and go to nice bar or something. But after reading the Rehearsal dinner chapters I think this might be from there or the Bachelor party.

And that is all we have right now. I wish they did more promo and marketing like The Love Hypothesis Movie. But, I also know the wait will be worth totally worth it!.
