One of my favorite college romance series is finally coming to screens as Off Campus by Elle Kennedy It has finally been picked up as a series. The Briar U campus hockey love stories of Garrett, Hannah and their group of friends.

The Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy is a popular booktok romance series that follows four college hockey players, Garrett, Logan, Dean, and Tucker, who are roommates at Briar University. Each boy gets their own book, all are first person, dual pov. It’s an interconnected series with slightly different timelines. Can be read as standalones but I would recommend reading them in order (I did not) but I avoided some of the major spoilers.

The books are a mixture of humor, emotional growth and steamy romance as the characters go through their tough times on and off the ice, in academics, family issues, and self doubts. The series is characterized by relatable characters, humorous dialogues, and the theme of friendship and romantic relationships, which is why it is popular with the audience of the sports romance genre.

About The Deal by Elle Kennedy :

Season one will be based on the first book, The Deal by Elle Kennedy which is about Hanna Wellesley and Garret Graham. Both are students of Briar University. Hannah has a passion for music and is majoring in that and Garret is professional hockey player while majoring in history. But, juggling hockey and studies has been hard on him and he needs to pass his philosophical ethics course to stay on the team.

And, the only way he could think of was asking the only girl in her class whose score was straight A’s to tutor him. But Hannah is hell bent on not tutoring him because egoistic annoying personality. But eventually Garret convinces her with his charm in exchange of something Hannah could not resist.

What started as an agreement quickly becomes something far more pleasant – filled with banter, a slow-burn romance, and all of our favorite tropes namely fake dating, opposite attracts, and the golden retriever x sunshine and the found family with the other characters slowly making their way to the book and our hearts. I just can’t wait to see them on my screen!

About The Off Campus Tv Show – The Deal by Elle Kennedy

The show is being produced by Amazon MGM and it will be available to stream on Prime Video. The filming started at the beginning of summer 2025 and wraps this fall 2025. There is no expected release date yet but we can expect it to release somewhere in early summer or fall 2026. Also, if the show hits success we can expect to get rest of book adaptations as season 2, 3, 4 of the off campus series.
