What is My Fault London and Book About?

My fault is part of the culpable trilogy by Mercedes Ron. It’s about a Seventeen-year-old girl named Noah who lives through a life-changing experience when her mother ties the knot with a billionaire who moves them to Los Angeles. Upon her arrival she encounters Nick as her arrogant yet dangerous stepbrother who carries out hazardous illegal street races. The unspeakable nature of their connection fails to break their mutual attraction although their hatred for one another remains strong at first.

Nick’s turbulent relationship with Noah grows challenging because he keeps secrets from her while maintaining his dangerous street racing activities leading Noah toward danger. The novel presents a tale about unlawful romantic affairs together with family conflicts and dangerous romantic excitement and received movie adaptation from Amazon Prime.

Is My Fault London (2025) actually better that the original movie?

I have been seeing millions of videos all over my for you page and explore pages that how my fault London is better than the original. I always heard that nothing can beat the original and the books are always the best no matter how good the screen adaptation is. Well maybe this movie was an exception? Let’s find out

I randomly saw a video pop up on my YouTube recommendations last month, which I thought was a remake or fan made video of the my fault book by an indie artist. But the same week I kept seeing edits and content creators talking about the new movie. And then I realized it’s actually a movie by Amazon Prime but London’s version.

I watched the original my fault movie back in 2023 when it came out but haven’t watched part 2 properly yet other than some clips. But after the London version came out I really wanted to watch that but decided to do a rewatch before so I can actually understand which one is actually better. For some obvious reasons like most people I liked the London version better.

There have been a million changes made which I think made the movie better. The London setting, aesthetics, mature characters, connection building, family dynamics, less toxicity, gently handling situations, affection, not highlighting the main forbidden trope while balancing the actual plot based on the movie.

In my opinion, the reason why everyone loved it better would be because it gives off sweet gentle fun loving ROM com vibes. Which is opposite of the main book and movie. If you’re a book girlie who loves formula 1 no wonder why you won’t love this book. Because London nick looks exactly like Landon Morris.

Another main reason would be how they swapped some of the things that changed the scene and made it way better. Like Nick’s birthday, Nick’s relationship with his mother and sister. Noah being not so mean like the original Noah. The panic attack scene tho I think they could have done it a lot better. The last scene where Noah and Nicks parents laughingly guess if they are together and it could be a problem.

Overall, I think My Fault London is better than them and they should make two more movies.
But here is the thing.

The book is a very toxic, dark romance with a great suspense plot. The Spanish version has mostly followed the book and properly reflects the book. At the beginning Nick and Noah’s meet cute starts with the classic enemies to lovers style which was not the case in the London version. It felt normal while the Spanish version was entertaining.

Then leaving Noah in the middle of the road. In the Spanish version Nick doesn’t care and left her in the middle of nowhere where barely cars go by and in the London version Nick left her but sure someone came to pick her up. So from the beginning it started out a sweet swoon worthy movie.

Nick’s characters in both of the movies have huge changes which make a lot of difference in the movies and why everyone liked it better. In the Spanish my fault Nick was toxic, care free, doesn’t give a single f to the world, only cares about racing and fighting and all sort of violence. On the other hand, London nick feels gentle and safer, healthier and pretty much opposite of the Spanish nick.

One of the biggest differences in both the movies is how they portray the main two tropes of the book which are enemies to lovers and step siblings. As much I hated the latter, I loved how I almost forgot it’s a part of the London version too. I think the makers focused on what could actually make the movie better all while balancing and keeping it in the movie.
