Small Town Romance Book Recs | A guide to Small Town Book Recs (30+ Books)

After reading Wild side by Elsie Silver, I am craving some more good small town romance books. Over the years I have fallen in love with this trope. I love small town suspense books and grew up reading this trope together and I remember seeing a video of a small town romance book with a suspense subplot and instantly downloaded the book and started reading. And I absolutely loved it.

Then I kept on reading the series and from then I’d read small town romance books almost every month because it has become one of my favorite tropes. And over the years I have found really good authors who write this really well and I devour everything they publish.

Indigo Ridge (The Edens, #1) + The Eden Series by Devney Perry

This is book and series that made me fall in love with the small town romance trope.

The recent appointment of Winslow Covington as chief of police at Quincy Montana serves as her mission to prove her competence beyond her grandfather who holds the mayoral office. Her effort to establish herself in the eyes of the town becomes more challenging after her single night of passion with Griffin Eden who is the wealthy son of the Eden family. At first Griffin displayed arrogance toward everyone but he develops into a reluctant partner for Winslow after a murder takes place on Eden property.

During her investigation Winslow reveals hidden secrets which allow Griffin to recognize her keen intelligence and her fight for recognition in Covington. The investigations’ growing danger intensifies their attraction which develops from their previous antagonistic relationship.

The novel features Winslow as a female character with strength and assertiveness and rationality while retaining a naturally relatable personality. The story combines charming romances in small towns with a captivating mystery to display the skill of Devney Perry while exploring the connection shared by Winslow and Griffin.
