My Top Favorite 2024 Books :

Kingpin’s Foxglove (The Tarkhanov Empire, #1)

The Tarkhanov Empire series follows Konstantin Tarkhanov who is hell bent on building an empire of his own after his father and brother failed to do it rightfully. After leaving everything behind in russian he began working his way from scratch in his new territory, new york and along the way he found new people who slowly became his real family.

And he’s ready to do anything for them. In this journey, he also falls in love with the widow of the enemy, Elena Falcone as she catches his attention. The first two books are about them. And the first one ends on a cliffhanger and the 2nd one starts right where the first one ended with a slightly different timeline. There are supposed to be more books out but since there are no official updates from the author we might not be getting them anytime soon.

Play Along (Windy City, #4) by Liz Tomforde

Curveball (Sun Valley, #3) by E.J. Blaise

Much like the rest of this series the author delivered exceptional depiction of friendships and relationships.
Sunday and August form an inseparable bond among all mother-son combinations (they show perfect coordination which I adore deeply).

I completely approved of Cass’s unreserved commitment to support August.
The friend group accepted Sunday and August with absolute openness as if they already belonged to them.

The pace of the relationship progression seemed slow enough that it failed to connect with me.
I initially disliked Cass during the early parts of the novel. The routine verbal attacks from a 36-year old man against his past one-night encounter failed to earn my approval.
He secretly reintroduces himself to your affections through his supportive acts and gentle actions resulting in the thoughtful fruit gifts that reflect his child’s size.

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson

The book follows an 18 year old girl, Annabelle Price and her family filming a documentary about her mother Rachel Price who disappeared out of thin air 16 years ago when she was just a baby. But a few weeks into the filming Rachel Price reappears and Bel can’t believe she’s telling the truth.

As the filming continues she starts investigating and collecting evidence against her mother with the help of a filming crew Ash. But soon she realizes how twisted everything is as she unravels long buried secrets.

Just for the Summer (Part of Your World, #3)

Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez is the 3rd book in the Part of Your World Series. The book is about Justin and Emma. Emma is a travel nurse, who randomly finds a guy on reddit who has the same problem or curse which they like to call.

Which is, Every person who dates them gets their soulmate right after breaking up with them. After discovering everything and verifying it’s true they come up with a plan to date each other for a while and break up after a specific time,

“Four dates, one kiss, and a breakup. Just for the summer.”

Thus they hope to break their curse and find their soulmate too. And soon enough Emma picks out a place to live near Justin for the summer with her best friend Maddie. However, as their connection deepens amidst unexpected challenges, both Justin and Emma start questioning their original plan. The story explores themes of love, commitment, and personal growth as they navigate their complicated situation and the possibility of a genuine connection.

Funny Story by Emily Henry

“Funny story . . .” he says, but he doesn’t go on, just watches me and waits. He knows how much I love to tell it.

Funny Story follows Daphne and Miles who are the ex’s of their ex’s. I know it sounds very messy. So, Daphne is all set with the wedding plans with Peter, the love of her life for the last 4 years but after his bachelor party, he breaks off the wedding because according to him he’s in love with his childhood best friend Petra and can not marry anyone else.

And right after announcing it tells Daphne to move out of his place and runs away with Petra for a getaway. Before she could process everything, she finds Miles at the door with a similar situation. Heartbroken and frustrated. Daphne, thinking of a quick option to solve her living situation, asks Miles if she could move into his apartment. And he agrees right away.

As they start living together, they heal and try to co exist but amidst everything they find themselves becoming friends to eventually more by finding a peaceful space in each other.

Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

The 2nd book starts right after a few months of the first book. Where Pip is finishing up her final work on her podcast “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” named by Ravi which is a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year with no hope of ever solving anything or being involved in something like this that cost her so much including losing someone very close to her and herself.

She keeps her promise to not get obsessed with solving anymore until her friend Connor Reynolds’ brother Jamie Reynolds goes missing on the day of Andie and Sal’s memorial. As the cops are not helping, Pip breaks her promise and steps up to help Connor along with Ravi.

As they begin to investigate once more they realize how darker, dangerous and twisted people of Kilton’s secrets are.
